I am a Chartered Accountant and joined Genome Research Limited as CFO in August 2018 in order to contribute to the work of the Institute/GRL. I am hugely impressed by the research delivered by the Institute and both the people who work here and all the activities they perform. I have previous experience of working within a scientific environment from the Cell & Gene Therapy Catapult where I was Director of Corporate Services but the majority of my career has been in the private sector. I have been fortunate to work in a wide range of types of organisation and stages of development and this has been very helpful in giving me a broad perspective and insight into different ways to achieve the strategy. I enjoy working in a collaborative way and delivering excellent results in partnership with others both in and outside my immediate team. We are an inclusive team and cover Finance, Procurement, Grants Management and Stores. This is an interesting and rewarding place to work and we enjoy having fun as a team.
