I worked with a large team of superb scientists to generate mutant mouse strains carrying alleles of biomedical importance. Our work included design of the mutation, mutagenesis of mouse ES cells, CRISPR mutagenesis, transgenic technologies to transfer the allele into the germline, molecular analysis and genotyping, colony management, cryopreservation, phenotypic analysis, and strain distribution.
