I am taking techniques developed in the Bradley lab and applying them to new disease areas with the view to developing their therapeutic potential.
I am currently a second year PhD student in Allan’s lab, and am here as a BBSRC Doctoral Training Programme student. My course has a similar rotations stucture to the WTSI programme, but my rotations were completed in departments in the University of Cambridge, the first under Jim Ajioka in Parisitology, and the second under Finian Leeper in Chemistry. Prior to that I read Natural Sciences at the University of Cambridge. I have been at St John’s College throughout my time at Cambridge. I am particularly interested in applied science, synthetic biology, and the potential that science has to solve real world problems.
