Mouse genomes are known to contain a dozen highly polymorphic complex loci such as the major urinary proteins (MUPs), Immunity related GTPases (IRGs) and MHC. At the moment, their structure cannot be resolved. As a part of Sanger mouse genomes project, we are performing a targeted reassembly of these loci.
