I am a post-doctoral fellow in Eric Miska's lab, interested in understanding speciation using African cichlid fish from Lake Malawi as model. My main focus will be establishing a lab culture of Lake Malawi cichlid fish Astatotilapia calliptera, exploring and developing a molecular toolkit for cichlids especially genome editing tools with the CRISPR/Cas9 system.
