Phil is a paediatric doctor and trainee scientist studying the somatic mutations found in normal gastrointestinal tissues to better understand the aging of normal cells and the earliest stages of cancer development
Mutational processes in normal and diseased tissues of the gastrointestinal tract
Studying the mutational processes that contribute to ageing and disease in gastrointestinal cells using cutting-edge DNA sequencing techniques. Insights from these studies will contribute to our understanding of the homeostasis of normal intestinal epithelium and the earliest stages of intestinal neoplasia.
