I am applying single-nucleus transcriptomics approaches and spatial genomics approaches to study neurodegenerative diseases. I am interested in selectively vulnerable cell populations in the cortex, the circuits these cells are involved in, and disease-specific cell-cell interactions.
Eugene did his undergraduate at Imperial College London (BSc Biomedical Science), followed by a year-long research attachment at the Translational Laboratory in Genetic Medicine (TLGM) in Singapore (Pouladi lab). He commenced his PhD here at Sanger in 2019.
